Great News for Fringe!

Here we go! Fringe executive producer and writer J.H Wyman (who is largely responsible with Jeff Pinkner for the overarching mythology of the show) annouced the renewal of Fringe for a 22 episode fourth season of the show.

Now here is a move by Fox that I am proud of. They clearly know they have something special on their hands.

This came after last week's episode of Fringe (entitled "Stowaway") came under much scrutiny as the ratings dropped to an all time low.

But...

With the recent cancellation of JJ Abrams own Undercovers, Fox's move is a good one. Fringe is still one of the key shows in its demographic and time slot (despite it being on the proclaimed Friday death slot where Joss Whedon's Firefly and Dollhouse were subsequently cancelled, as well as other science fiction shows).

There are six episodes left. Four of those air throughout April. After tonight, the show goes on hiatus for another 2-3 weeks. Yes, I hate these breaks in between. But it's well worth the wait.

Tonight we see Fauxlivia in danger of having her life taken. There's a real sense of danger at this point. No one is safe. Decisions will be made and consequences will come to fruition.

Another thing:

Our latest glimpse into the future of the show asks us: Where will you be when it happens? Then a card shows the time 6:02AM. Hmmm....

This leaves many to wonder the future of both our universes.

Here below is the trailer.
